Sally Clendon's Baby Shower

Sally Clendon is having baby Jack in February. Here is Sally and Amanda at a baby shower for Sally at Spice Street Restaurant in Chapel Hill, January 28, 2006.

And here I am with beautiful Sally, the mother-to-be of the day!
The restaurant was super cool!Amanda crocheted Sally a blanket for Jack. Sally is oohing and ahhing here. After the shower we went to see the proud father-to-be, James, with his lovely wife. After a visit with the Clendons, Amanda and I went to Southpoint Mall. Here's one of the neat features there--bronze statues in a water fountain.
It was really nice to be back up in Raleigh and Chapel Hill for the weekend, especially to see good friends. Ashley spent the weekend with the guys camping in McBee.

Weston's 4th Birthday

Weston, our nephew, had a Batman party for his 4th birthday. It was a lot of fun for the kids.

The boy of the hour!

The attending kids; notice Weston's Batman shirt!

The two big hits of the day were Weston's inline skates (everyone wanted to help put them on) and the Batman pinata!

Contemplating blowing out the candles...everyone wanted to lick the candles afterwards.

Ah, to be a kid!

New Year's in Lexington County

We went to the Rawl's for New Years. After going to Bentley's, we (Anna and Lyndsey) came back with our New Years crowns on.

Lizzie (the younger Rawl bulldog) and I with her New Years crown.

New Year's Night we went to Carey and Kleck's for fireworks...First we all threw down a bunch of poppers!

Then the guys got the fireworks ready.

My experimentation with using the Fireworks setting on our new camera. Yay for a big show in the neighborhood (I even shot off a Roman Candle myself!).
