7 months old!

It's that time again...this time Levi turns 7 (months)!

This month has truly flown by, thanks to the holidays. Levi is getting to be such fun. I feel like I say that all the time, but it's true. He is starting to really occupy himself by playing with things, like his laptop! This is his usual morning activity while I'm getting ready. He sends "emails", downloads music, and who knows what else!
He wanted me to share with everyone how big he is getting. It doesn't seem like long ago that he only filled up half of the changing table. Now he easily covers the entire thing. He's figured out how to yank the quilt off the wall behind him. Any ideas on how to tack it down better? "No" still doesn't mean that much to a 7 month old.
This morning he got to play with Max and Jill. It was really cold outside--around 20 degrees--so the dogs came in for a bit to warm up.
Max, aka our former number 1. For the most part he does pretty well with Levi. Levi LOVES watching the dogs, which is why I've placed the ExerSaucer at the back door (you can see it in the background).

Sporting college gear and other fun things...

Last week we had some really pretty days with warm temps. I used this as an opportunity for Levi to wear his college t-shirts.

The pictures have to start with the UNC shirt first because I'm the one who writes this blog.
And here's a funny one, too.
Levi was playing a game with himself by hiding under the pillow.

He looks so confident and happy here.
Last Saturday we went to Camden for Ashley's cousin Martin's wedding shower. Levi did a great job of impressing everyone.

And other big news in our world, we made an offer on 9.5 acres in Gilbert...and were surprised when the seller basically agreed to our price (we just had to go up a little bit).
So here's the land. More to come once we sign for it next month.

Weston's 7th Birthday

Today was Weston's (our nephew) 7th birthday. Carey had a crowd of kids and parents over to her house to celebrate.

Come June, we'll be having a double birthday for Mallory and Levi!

Creating this post reminded me of my very first blog posting on AM Squared when we celebrated New Year's...and go figure, three years later we're with our friends Stan and Lyndsey again (now plus our boys!).

Some of Levi's Christmas presents...overalls from Uncle Jack and Jeanette and remote control car from Nathan. Levi wants everyone to know that he is sitting up on his own!
New Year's Day we went to Ashley's parents for a simple lunch of pork, collards, and black-eyed peas (got to make sure we have a good 2009!). Levi donned a celebratory hat for us all.
Last night I made Orange Ginger Mahi Mahi. It's adapted from a recipe from my plaid cookbook (aka, Better Homes and Gardens). You can view the recipe here.
