House Progress, Part 2
The master bathroom (remember the earlier picture?). The wall is gone! (and fixtures, etc.)
The circus room is no more. Ashley primed the entire house white. It's already starting to smell much better!
The attic is huge and has the potential to be two more rooms. Not sure if we will actually finish this in or not during our time at the house. Who knows. It's certainly not high on the priority list for now.We still need to sell the Gilbert house. I almost hate to leave it right now because the yard is absolutely beautiful. The prettiest it has been. But Ashley will turn our new yard into something great (and the commute will be so nice!).

New House Renovations, Part 1
The majority of the house had parquet floors. We're putting in hardwood floors, carpet and tile. Here's the living room pre-demolition. Open doorway goes to the kitchen.
And the kitchen. You can't see the larger breakfast area.
One of the guest bedrooms (I called this the circus room).
Master bathroom....In the next series of photos you'll see that the wall has been knocked down! Those pictures will be uploaded tonight, maybe.
Progress to date: All fixtures removed, carpet and flooring GONE, walls primed, gutters cleaned, tile in kitchen installed, and master bedroom painted. The house had a smoker living in it for 3 years so imagine getting rid of that smell! Lots of primer and paint! I got overwhelmed on Saturday but Stan and Lyndsey came over on Sunday and helped me see the potential again. I can't say enough how great Ashley is at all this! I can paint, remove light switches and scrape windows but he's the real talent in our team.

Ryan's Birthday/ McBee
And a real pony you could ride. Ryan had a big time!
On Good Friday, Ashley and I went to McBee for turkey hunting. A gobbler walked fairly close to us, and Ashley decided I either need to learn to shoot or call to help him out with the hunts. What I enjoyed even more was seeing the fields with rye grass, waving in the wind. It's beautiful ou there, in a different way from the mountains.
