In preparation for Easter, we've been having Easter egg hunts in our house on a daily basis. The first hunt I simply hid the eggs but then Ashley introduced Levi to the idea that things are hidden IN the eggs. So now if I want to have an Easter egg hunt, I have to fill the eggs with snacks. Here's a collection of the goodies I've used.
For Levi's preschool egg hunt, we have to bring 12 filled eggs. I asked his teachers what that meant--and it means candy. So you can imagine Levi's excitement next week when the eggs he finds ALL have candy instead of just one having an M&M and the rest having fairly nutritious snacks!
This morning Mason and I went out to check on the new house, where Ashley, his dad, and a couple of their guys are laying sod! Mason lucked out and got to ride the Bobcat with Da and the tractor with Uncle Kleck!
And here he is, pushing his dump truck on its maiden voyage in the new grass!
Last week, Levi pushed Mason in the dump truck. A fun way to get around!
And for lunch today, I made an SLT with white cheddar cheese. "S" for strawberries, Lexington County strawberries to be more exact. Yay for the arrival of strawberry season! This was a tasty sandwich if you're a fan of BLTs like I am (it's probably my favorite sandwich, especially if I can add cheddar!).
In other news, Mason is walking big time now! He can walk all over the living room, bend over and pick things up and then keep walking, etc! What fun! And he has his 8th tooth, just in time for his birthday!
We'll be moving to our new house next weekend so stay tuned for pictures!
