A while back Ashley and I bought a FlipVideo camera--pocketsize camcorder. And as you can imagine, the bulk of the videos are of Levi.
Here's one that absolutely cracks me up!

Levi turns 4 months!
Yesterday was a day-long photo shoot celebrating Levi's 4 month birthday. The mornings always start off great...

especially when Levi gets to help with laundry and watch a few minutes of Sesame Street.

I had this great idea to take pictures with Levi with the pumpkins since it is October. Here he is drooling over one..

and then getting mad about the idea.

Having a little afternoon snack always makes a person feel better. In this picture, he kind of looks like he was caught up to no good :o)

This past week he's started using the Jump-n-Go. This picture shows him in action.

Getting ready for bath time.

and one of Levi's latest favorite things--standing ALL THE TIME. Our arms are getting quite the workout!

OctoberFest, Year 2!
We had our second annual OctoberFest party last weekend. This year we held it at Ashley's parents' shelter. It was a windy night but we all had fun. One of the highlights was the boot drinking contest.

And back for a second appearance, the tacky German aprons!
"Final Heat" of the beer drinking contest.

And lucky us, Heather (my cousin) came to visit us for the weekend. She was a super help cooking the apple strudel and German potato salad. Just wished she lived closer!

Remembering why fall is great...
I think fall is really the only season I decorate for (outside of Christmas). After having Levi I wasn't sure how much time I would have for things like this but today I found some time to add some fall touches to our house.
Gourd arrangement in front of the fireplace (gourds are real, leaves are not).
Foyer arrangement...I really want to change up our foyer in some way...not sure yet so this is a temporary start!
Our dining room. Yes, the walls really are orange. I am going to finally paint this room another color after fall. Any ideas??
I usually use this large container for ornaments at Christmas...but now I'm going to use it for all the seasons! Ashley brought this pheasant home from a hunt in North Dakota (pre-Anna days).
The backyard has been incredibly beautiful this summer thanks to Ashley's hard work. I tried to count the number of plants in our backyard the other day and lost count around 80.

One of my dalias from outside. Isn't she beautiful?
And finally, another reason that THIS fall is great is Levi! Here he is in his Lumberjack Levi outfit (shirt courtesy of his aunt Holly). You can tell that his feet are kicking in this picture! He's really been fun this week, practicing rolling over and talking up a storm!
